That’s right, folks, John Schnatter has officially stepped down as CEO of Papa John’s.
Schnatter had some hot takes in early November regarding player protests during the National Anthem:
“The NFL has been a long and valued partner over the years. But we’re certainly disappointed that the NFL and its leadership did not resolve the ongoing situation to the satisfaction of all parties long ago, this should’ve been nipped in the bud a year-and-a-half ago.”
Which led enraged Millennials everywhere to choose avocado toast over Papa John’s pizza at brunch and to flock to other Millennial-owned pizza business like LeBron James’ Blaze Pizza for lunch and dinner.
Company President Steve Ritchie will officially be taking over as CEO on Jan. 1st, but I can think of only one man who truly deserves a shot at running one of the biggest fast food pizza chains. A man who owns a large share of Papa John’s as well as multiple franchises and is looking to get a larger piece of the pie (get it?).
