There are a few things that millennials love: avocado toast, being triggered, a very specific shade of pink, and being rewarded for things even when they don’t deserve them.

After beating Auburn in the Chick-fil-a Peach Bowl last weekend, UCF’s AD, Danny White, announced that the university will be raising a National Championship banner for their perfect 13-0 season.

This completely spits in the face of the illustrious and all-knowing College Football Playoff Committee!

Here’s what White said to ESPN:

“If you take the long view of the history of college football, there’s an awful lot of national championships being claimed by universities that didn’t accomplish what we accomplished this year in those respective seasons, so we feel we’re more than justified to claim our first national championship, and we think it’ll be the first of many, I don’t think our kids should be penalized because we weren’t respected by the College Football Playoff committee, nor should our program be penalized because we weren’t around 20 or 30 years ago when people were claiming national championships left and right. We’re trying to build our program, and we feel very strongly as the only undefeated team and having beat Auburn, who beat both teams competing for the national championship, that we have an extremely sound case to claim the crown.”

Ok Danny (IF THAT IS YOUR REAL NAME), saying that a bunch of people did it before so you should be able to do it now isn’t an acceptable response! Leave it to a bunch of millennial snowflakes to blame their choices on an earlier generation. Next thing you know we’re going to have college football giants like Northwestern blaming the Bear Bryant Bama teams for why they can’t win a natty. SAD!

Have fun hanging your sham of a banner, we all know the truth!
